Nick Mott

nick_profile-1-of-1Nick is a master’s student in journalism at CU Boulder. He graduated with Highest Distinction with a bachelor’s in sociology and philosophy from the University of Kansas in 2011 and has an MA in anthropology with a focus in international development from Colorado State University. He’s worked variously as a journalist, migrant education advocate, debate coach and conservation worker. His work has appeared in The Denver Post, Counterpunch, and elephant journal, among others. His research interests focus on the intersection of people and the planet and, specifically, environmental justice. He is currently covering education for Under the Flatirons. When he’s not writing, he can usually be found off in the mountains or the desert, climbing rocks.
