Zoë Rom is a writer and journalist pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Colorado Boulder. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2016 with degrees in English, French, and Italian and a focus in ecopoetics and an honors thesis titled “Science and Sympathy in American Ecopoetics.” Zoë is fascinated by the intersection of literature and ecology, which informed her honors thesis and undergraduate studies. She turned her attention to food, science and the environment after writing for a food and gardening magazine. Her podcast, the “Ozarks at Large Food Podcast” was hosted by KUAF Public Radio, and focused on food and food culture in the Ozarks.
Her works have appeared in Edible Ozarkansas, Food & Farm, Arkansas Wild, The Arkansas Times, The Arkansas Traveler, and on KUAF Public Radio. Zoë enjoys writing, running, cooking and gardening, and is always in search of a good story.
