The Center for Student Involvement will host a crafting event along with free popcorn from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday (and every Thursday through the end of the semester). The event is in room 330 of the University Memorial Center.
It’s hard to find a source for free yoga these days, but CU’s Wesley Student Center has got you covered. Head to 1290 Folsom St. (across from the Stadium) any day this week from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to enjoy authentic hatha and vinyasa flow yoga. You’re encouraged to bring your own mat, but there are extras if you forget.
This event is part of “CU on the Weekend,” a series of free lectures and talks by CU faculty. David Ciplet is an assistant professor of environmental studies and author of “Power in a Warming World.” From 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at Butcher Auditorium in the Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building, he’ll be discussing climate change, society and the root of inaction.
