County-wide DUI enforcement underway for Halloween weekend

Boulder County law enforcement agencies began a state-wide DUI crackdown on Oct. 28. Police and sheriff’s deputies will be on heightened alert and the Colorado State Patrol will operate DUI checkpoints. The program runs through Nov. 1.

Sex offenders on parole restricted from Halloween activities

Sex offenders currently on parole are prohibited from passing out candy, decorating their residence or having outside lights on Halloween night according to the Colorado Department of Corrections. The rule only applies to sex offenders on parole — not all convicted sex offenders are on parole and may pass out candy. Be forewarned.
