Boulder health and recreation: Fly fishing, meditation and an Amazing Race

Master the art of midday meditation

Head to the Boulder Public Library from 12 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday for free meditation. This session will feature soothing live music, including instrumentals like percussion, piano, woodwinds, cello and didgeridoo.

Fly Fishing 101 for free

If you’re interested in fly fishing and want to learn the basics for free, Front Range Anglers will be hosting Orvis Fly Fishing 101 from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, at 2344 Pearl St. The class will include a demonstration on what exactly the sport is, the basics of casting a rod, how to tie knots and more.
Cap off Homecoming Week with CU’s Amazing Race

Participate in the Amazing Race as the final event for CU’s Homecoming Week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Folsom Field. The race includes physical and mental challenges, similar to the TV show, and will begin at the buffalo on the south side of the field. Cost is $5 for Herd members and $10 for all other CU students.
