Longmont emergency shelters are ready for winter
The employees of Agape Family Services and HOPE said they feared they would not be able to open their doors this winter, but by banding together Longmont will now have “emergency warming centers and … a safe haven,” according to the Longmont Times-Call.

Formerly homeless man paid it forward after he found financial security
The Chicago Tribune reported the journey of a once homeless man, Earl Barton, who worked tirelessly to write a grant to open a homeless shelter in the community that housed him and his family after they lost their home.

A Miami dining deal funds popular shelter
According to the Miami Herald, Camillus House—a Miami homeless shelter—benefits from a pledge made by 16 restaurants to give 5 percent of their earnings from meals on the city’s Culinary Community for Camillus House menu to the shelter.
