Boomtown Boulder announces program to support health care technologies

Boomtown Boulder, an accelerator for small startups, announced Colorado’s first HealthTech program, which will help certain startups in the state get the support and money needed for projects focused on health care technologies. The program’s first accelerator will be held Jan. 25-April 15, 2016, and applications are being accepted from now through Saturday, Dec. 5. Prepare for Thanksgiving at the Panicking Poultry Run 

On Saturday, Nov. 21 at 9:30 a.m., head out to the Boulder Reservoir for the Panicking Poultry 5k and get your exercise in before the week of holiday feasting begins. Pre-registry is required but with warm soup and hot chocolate waiting at the finish line for you, it’s totally worth it. Be sure to dress for the chilly winter weather and sign up here.

Free nature hikes for seniors

On Thursday, Nov. 19, head out to the Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat Area at 10 a.m. for a free nature hike, if you’re a senior that is! The Boulder County Parks and Open Space holds programs and free nature hikes for seniors every month that include information about the area’s history and wildlife management projects.
