The Hotel Boulderado first opened its doors on New Year’s Eve in 1909. Boulder City Council members at the time viewed the Boulderado as a place that provided the city of Boulder the “comfort of a first class hotel.”
In keeping with that reputation, the Boulderado is providing a first class Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 26 from 11:30a.m. – 4:00p.m.
The menu includes classic Thanksgiving items with a twist: spaghetti squash with grape tomatoes and coconut broth, bourbon glazed sweet potatoes and a whole roasted turkey accompanied by orange cranberry and giblet gravy.

The Good Jar, a Longmont-based pickle business, encourages individuals to add a sour note to their Thanksgiving this year. The Good Jar was founded in 2014 by Eric Vierra and works to create all natural relishes, pickles and preserves.
Vierra doesn’t want to abandon the traditional Thanksgiving foods, but he does believe a little spice goes a long way. He recommends his piccalilli which contains green tomatoes and onions with cinnamon, cloves and brown sugar.
The recipe was inspired by a dish his grandmother made.
If you’re looking to bring something new to the table, check out The Good Jar and Vierra’s creations.
Visit the Pearl Street Mall on Sunday, Nov. 22 to see the Boulder County Courthouse illuminated for Christmas.
The Boulder Chorale will provide the music and Santa Claus will provide the entertainment!
