Arts and Culture around Boulder

The local Boulder nonprofit organization Conscious Alliance will host a unique fundraising opportunity on New Years Day. Fans of the band STS9 will be able to purchase tickets for $100, with proceeds benefitting Conscious Alliance, to attend a special dinner benefit with the band. Renowned Denver chef Max Mackissock will prepare a feast while attendees will have the chance to watch an extra set performed by STS9 and dine with the band inside the Fillmore Auditorium.

The British male vocal sextet, the King’s Singers, will take the stage at Macky Auditorium on Thursday to perform a Christmas program. The event is part of the CU Presents Artist Series. This is the 3rd year in a row that the program will have a distinguished ensemble performing a holiday concert. The program will include a diverse selection of styles of music including classical, jazz, folk, and more.

Governor John Hickenlooper announced earlier today that his inauguration ceremony will include performances by some of Colorado’s most well known musical acts. The concert will take place at the Ogden Theatre in Denver on Jan. 13 and follow a dinner at the Fillmore Auditorium. Acts include The String Cheese Incident, The Lumineers, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats.
